IRON PAINTER IS BACK! (Saturday May 15th, 2010)

IRON PAINTER the 6 hour "Overnight" painting competition  is BACK!

Where: Paladin's Game Castle
When: Saturday May 15th, 2010 from 6pm to MIDNIGHT

Rules:  Bring one miniature that is primed and ready to paint, and bring the paints and gear that you use to get the job done.  Only one entry per contestant.  Entries will be judged based on three categories: Privateer Press (Warmachine, Hordes, Iron Kingdoms, Grind), Games Workshop (Warhammer 40K, Fantasy, LotR, Specialist Games), and Other (Reaper, Wyrd, Battletech, ect).  Entries will be judged by paying customers and those who participate in tournaments (such as FNM) throughout the week.  The figures that get the most votes in each category will be declared the winner.

Prizes: TBA
Entry Fee: TBA

The Fun: This isn't just going to be a competition - This is gong to be a PARTY!  As in punch and pie ;)

This will be a fun event and open to anyone who paints miniatures.  Paladin will provide some of the food and drinks for the event but everyone is encouraged also to bring along any additional snacks they wish to share!

Cool beans, picked out a small collection of minis to paint, how are you guys feeling about having me with headphones on my laptop? (gotta listen to heavy metal while I paint)

I'm bringing an extra power-strip and an extension cord, so that shouldn't be a problem.

A quick question; The rules state that the mini just has to be primed. Does this mean either White, Grey or Black Primer only or can we use a colored primer?

If you want to use the Army Painter brand Colored Primer then it's cool.

Thanks to everyone who attended our first painting contest. We have 9 entries and they are up at the shop for viewing and voting. Please vote on your favorite in each category and then an overall choice.
