Con in Fresno, CA. Looking for DM's
« on: December 10, 2009, 12:04:25 pm »
Hey everyone.

I will have more details soon, but am currently working on getting a Con going in Fresno in late January.  I promise I'll have more info for everyone in the next few weeks.

We are in need of DM's to run 4th edition D&D games and we are looking for DM's to run Pathfinder games.  Please PM or email me if you are interested.  Because time is short, we need people with lots of experience, preferably with RPGA experience.  Depending on how many games you run, entrance to the con will be free.

Also, we are looking for people to run card game (Magic, etc) events.  Please email or pm me if you are interested.  Thanks for your time.

We would be possibly interested in running some events at your con. Did you have more information on the con such as location, dates and possible vendor booths?
Let us know how we can support in any way!

If you want a miniature gaming presence, I'm pretty sure I can run some Uncharted Seas demos, or maybe Firestorm Armada if I get some more miniatures painted.

We might even be able to get the AT-43 folks there to demo the game.  Just let me know if you're interested in that type of gaming.

Games:  AT-43 (U.N.A., Therian, Oni)
**Uncharted Seas (Human, Orc, Dwarf)   **Firestorm Armada (Aquan, Dindrenzi, Terran)  **Battleground (Dwarves, Hawkshold, Undead)  **Warhammer Fantasy (Night Goblins, oi!)
**Chaos in the Old World

Okay, details are still sketchy as we're putting this together, but here's what I can tell you so far.

The weekend of January 23rd.  It will be held at Fresno State.  Parking is free on the weekends, so no worries there.

There will be booths for vendors, but still putting everything together, so don't have full details yet.  Will post soon.  But we very much want the community involved.

This is a real con, but we are trying something slightly different.  Rather than paying for a whole day, or a whole weekend, we will charge by game.  Price will be around 5 dollars a gaming slot.  Remember though, everything is still coming together, so things may change.  Depending on how many games you DM, entrance will then be free.  Links to more info should be appearing in the next couple of weeks as things come together.

Minis demos would be great.  I would like to meet with people that are going to do this before hand though, lay out the details, etc.  Feel free to PM me, and we can try and set up a meeting.

I'd be willing to DM a 4th edition game. I can run a set adventure out of Dragon magazine or something from the books. I would also be happy to do something home made if you like. I will talk to the wife, but I might also be able to volunteer to help with badges or check in tables or whatever. Message me if you like.

Awesome Conan.  We will be in definite need of volunteers.  I should have a list of games up that will need dm's, and a list of jobs/duties that needs spots to fill.  We are trying to balance it so that nobody will be stuck in one place for too long.

All of our D&D games will be RPGA/WPN.  The dm's will get the adventures about a week before the games so they have time to learn them.  All pathfinder will be official games as well.

  More info soon.

Also, we do want to meet with people before the con, so we get to know each other.  PM so we can set up a meeting, or come see me Wed-Sun at the Clovis library where I work.

I've run games at a lot of cons, most notably DragonCon in Atlanta.  I'm glad to lend a hand.  Mostly pen paper RPGs but have played a lot of games and am willing to run most anything.

Here is the flyer for the event.  Please pass this around and get the word out for the Con.
